Wincanton announces new contract with La Doria

Wincanton plc, the leading provider of supply chain solutions in the UK and Ireland, has secured a long-term deal with LDH (La Doria) Ltd, one of the UK’s leading private label supplier of ambient grocery products.

Wincanton will provide LDH with warehousing and storage solutions and operations will be based across a number of warehouses in the South East. Wincanton will oversee some 10,000 shipping containers and handle more than 200,000 tonnes of products a year, with the vast majority of goods being unloaded by hand by Wincanton’s staff.

Wincanton is the largest British logistics firm and this year it celebrates its 90th anniversary. The company employs more than 18,000 people across 200 sites and its 4000-strong fleet provides supply chain solutions across a wide range of sectors including retail, construction, defence and energy.
