New jobs created as Baytree Interiors opens in Beverley’s Flemingate
Baytree Interiors, the homewares retailer, recently saw the opening of its newest store in Beverley.
This is the twelfth store in the retailer’s chain of outlets across the North of England. The new Beverley store opened its doors on 14 May, creating six full and part-time jobs in the town.
From its headquarters in Harrogate, the family owned business has expanded with three new stores opening last year, plus a new shop in Huddersfield in March and three more openings planned for later in 2016.
Located in Beverley’s new Flemingate shopping centre, Baytree Interiors’ 2,000 sq ft unit has undergone a complete fit-out to create complete room sets showcasing its ranges of furniture, home accessories, lighting and gifts.
The lease for Baytree Interiors’ latest store was secured with the help of Leeds law firm Clarion and letting agents Bowcliffe Chartered Surveyors.
Nik Hill, managing director of Baytree Interiors, explained: “Despite lots of talk about the high street struggling, we’re finding that customers still want to see and touch products before they buy.
“For many people, going shopping is an enjoyable weekend activity and if they’re interested in interiors, they also want to see how the ranges work together and get some inspiration for their own homes.
“Our stunning new Beverley store has been a great opportunity for our in-house designer to show customers how they can create a complete Baytree Interiors look and transform their homes with coordinated room sets. The lively market town is a fantastic location for us, attracting local people as well as visitors from further afield.”
Opened last year, the 16,500sq ft Flemingate retail and leisure development offers a wide range of leading high street brands including Debenhams, H&M, Costa and Patisserie Valerie.
Baytree Interiors also has outlets in Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ilkley, Northallerton, York, Whitby, Halifax, Middlesbrough, Huddersfield and the Metrocentre.
