Leeds United extends Clipper partnership with new sponsorship deal

Leeds United has signed a new sponsorship deal with Clipper Logistics Plc.

Clipper has agreed a deal to become the new Official Secondary Shirt Sponsor of Leeds, with the company’s branding featuring on the reverse of all Leeds United 2016/17 playing kit and replica shirts.

The new sponsorship deal marks the second sponsorship agreement between Leeds and Clipper, following the recent announcement of Clipper’s sponsorship of the East Stand at Elland Road.

Leeds-headquartered Clipper is provides logistics solutions and e-fulfilment to the retail sector in the UK.

The company provides consultancy-led services within the online fashion and non-food sectors to its blue chip client base, including ASOS, The John Lewis Partnership, Asda, SuperGroup, Morrisons, New Look and Tesco.

Paul Bell, Leeds United’s executive director, said: “We are delighted that Clipper Logistics Plc have extended their sponsorship and support of the Club to also become the secondary shirt sponsor at Leeds United.

“This new agreement will see the Clipper logo on thousands of Leeds United replica shirts next season and will ensure that the Clipper brand is worn by our fans worldwide, in addition to their prominent branding of the East Stand here at Elland Road.”

Steve Parkin, founder and executive chairman of Clipper, added: “Clipper is a Leeds success story, and we’re proud to extend our association with Leeds United, a club I’ve followed my entire life and one that’s based just a stone’s throw from Clipper’s head office.

“The sponsorship of the East Stand was a significant move for us, and our association with the club has now been extended to this shirt deal, which I’m incredibly excited about. It will give the Clipper name exposure in front of a global TV audience, as we continue to grow as a business and help shape the future of retail logistics.”
