Newton House Knaresborough wins Four in a Bed
Newton House B&B in Knaresborough is the winner of the latest Channel 4 TV Show ‘Four in a Bed’ that aired from 16th to 20th May 2016.
Owner, Denise Carter and her colleague Jackie Fennell, appeared in the filming of the latest series of this popular reality TV show, and had the task of visiting and judging the other properties as part of the format for the show. ’We had a super time during filming of the show, getting to know our fellow contestants and seeing their establishments was interesting and good fun. It was great to get such high scores and then to become the winner is fabulous. I have never won anything ever – not even a raffle“, comments Denise Carter.
The programme’s format invites four sets of B&B owners to throw open their doors and take turns to stay with one another – and pay what they consider fair for their stay. The winner of the competition is the B&B that is judged to be the best value for money.
“We were sworn to secrecy until the show was aired but now we can announce the result. Everyone said that they really enjoyed their stay at Newton House and would like to come back. It has put Newton House on the map and especially highlighted our food, our quality and my team of Newton House Ladies”, added Denise.
The competition was shown on Channel 4 at 5pm from Monday 16th May and each evening until Friday 20th May when Newton House was announced as the winning B&B. The other contestants paid full price for their stay at Newton House and a winner’s plaque presented to Denise and Jackie at the end of the final episode.
