Double Success for Wyboston Lakes with MIA Nomination

Wyboston Lakes, the leading conference centre, is delighted to announce that two of its team members have been selected on the shortlist of the MIA List 2016.

Meetings Industry Association (MIA) List event, celebrates individuals that really make a difference to the industry, either to their organisations, customers or the industry itself. Rob Hedges, Conference & Banqueting Manager at The Executive Centre, has been selected in the Conference and Events People category and Glen Corby, Head Chef at The Training Centre has been selected in the Food & Beverage People category.

Rob has worked at Wyboston Lakes for 4 years and is described by his colleagues as extremely modest, never seeking recognition, but he is held by them in very high esteem. Glen has progressed through the ranks at Wyboston Lakes growing and developing from Chef to Head Chef over 17 years, he is a whole-hearted and caring team member.

Rob Hedges is truly passionate about his work and is exceptional with the detail, he consistently gets great feedback from both clients and colleagues. Glen Corby, runs a consistently busy 7 day a week operation with a tight team in an evolving business, he does so in such a structured way, which is more than many chefs with twice his experience would actually achieve in real world circumstances. We are extremely proud of both nominees.”
