Eccleston Homes is seeking planning consent for its Chatterton Place project

Housebuilder Eccleston Homes acquires new land near Ramsbottom

North West housebuilder Eccleston Homes is set to create almost a dozen new properties after acquiring land in Greater Manchester.

The company, which is this month celebrating after securing its 50th home sale since it launched in 2011, has snapped up an eighth site in Stubbins, near Ramsbottom.

Eccleston Homes is now seeking planning consent for Chatterton Place, which comprises 11 four- and five-bedroom detached homes.

The firm’s founder and managing director, Kevin Marren, said: “Jubilee Gardens has been a highly successful development for Eccleston Homes for a number of reasons.

“Its location in Ramsbottom, a desirable commuter village, has attracted local and incoming families.”

He continued: “Our ‘Arts & Crafts’ style homes, with their traditional exterior and contemporary internal specification, have been very popular.

“This has opened up further opportunities for us, notably the opportunity to grow our presence in the area with the Stubbins site, and we’re delighted to have secured the land to create more homes to meet the demand.”

Last month, Eccleston Homes expanded its North West footprint after acquiring a new site at Worsley in Greater Manchester, where it plans to create 15 detached four- and five-bed houses.

Work on the Worsley and Stubbins developments is due to begin this summer.

Discussing the 50-house sales milestone, Kevin added: “It’s been a fantastic, momentum-changing couple of months for us and we’re looking forward to producing and selling the next 50 homes.”
