Wakefield residential site for 300 new homes hits the market
A 20-acre site in Wakefield, which can accommodate around 300 new homes, has hit the market.
The undeveloped greenfield land is located off Milton Road in Snapethorpe, around 1.5 miles from both the centre of Wakefield and the M1 motorway.
The majority of the 20-acre site has been allocated for housing within the Local Development Framework and has the potential for 300 homes or alternative uses.
The site is bordered by residential housing and agricultural land and is in close proximity to schools, colleges and amenities.
Acting on behalf of Wakefield Council, CBRE’s Leeds residential investment and development team launched the site to market.
CBRE is now accepting offers either on an unconditional basis or subject to planning.
Mike Gorman, Director at CBRE Leeds, commented: “This extensive site occupies a strategic position close to local amenities and schools and has the potential to deliver much-needed new residential accommodation to this area of Wakefield.
“The unlocking of this site for future development represents an excellent opportunity for developers seeking to undertake a large-scale scheme to make a positive contribution to the local community.”
