New leasing assistant for Orbit Developments in Stockport
Stockport’s largest commercial landlord has appointed a new Leasing Assistant to support the business operation in Stockport town centre.
James Nicholson has joined the Orbit Developments team and is based on the 10th floor of Regent House, the developers’ flagship building in Stockport town centre.
Previously working in residential sales with estate agents Gascoigne Halman, James brings with him a wealth of property experience – though this is his first foray into both lettings and commercial property.
James will be working closely with Leasing Surveyor Rhys Owen, managing the day to day enquiries across Orbit’s extensive 12-property portfolio in Stockport. He will also act as a general point of contact for Orbit customers in the town.
Of the new appointment, Rhys commented: “When James’ predecessor relocated to the South Coast, we were keen to bring in another quality recruit and make the transition as smooth as possible.
“His existing experience within the property industry has certainly been beneficial, and he is settling in well. We’re very pleased to have James on board.”
Rhys explained that the ongoing regeneration works in the town has seen a surge of interest in Stockport: “We’ve long known that Stockport is a fantastic place to base a business, but the up-and-coming Redrock and Stockport Exchange schemes in the town centre seem to have caught peoples’ attention. Enquiries for office space are coming through thick and fast so it’s an exciting time for James to join the team.”
James said: “I am looking forward to getting involved in commercial lettings and joining Orbit who have such an established and well respected presence in Stockport. The team have made me feel very welcome.”
Orbit is looking for a new Leasing Surveyor/Negotiator to work within its team based in Alderley Edge. The role will involve dealing with leasing commercial premises across the firm’s portfolio in South and Central Manchester. For more info go to Orbit Developments website and click on ‘Careers’
