Chief Philanthropy Officer Salary circa £55,000

As the leading community foundation in the UK, the Community Foundation Tyne & Wear and Northumberland exists to ensure the long-term vitality of people and places in our area and the wider North East of England. This is a particularly exciting time for our organisation and we are seeking an outstanding strategic development professional to join our leadership team in a newly created post of Chief Philanthropy Officer.

As one of two deputies to the Chief Executive, the Chief Philanthropy Officer will play a crucial role in helping us achieve ambitious plans to grow giving and increase our endowment to £100m within the next ten years. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who is passionate about philanthropy, results focused and has strong experience in development. The successful candidate will work closely on all aspects of our strategy and will have a clear remit to grow the Foundation’s practice as a world-class centre for philanthropy. Comfortable in the public eye, they will represent the Foundation at public events and advocate for us in the wider philanthropy field, ensuring we deliver exceptional value and benefit both to our donors and communities.
