Chester Fintech Business Nominated For Two National Awards
Chester price comparison website Businessescomparison.com has been shortlisted for two national awards. The Fintech company, which is based at the Steam Mill in the City, is in the running for Best SME Website and Start-up: One to Watch at the SME Awards 2016.
Businesscomparison.com helps small business owners get the best deals on business bank accounts, commercial mortgages and business energy and insurance, to save money quickly and easily.
The SME Awards are designed to applaud the hard work of the best in UK business. Organisers state that the winners are ambitious, tenacious business entities that want to make their mark.
Head of Businesscomparison.com, Philip Brennan comments,
“This is the recognition our team deserves. They’ve worked tirelessly over the past year to form new partnerships, redesign the site and launch a successful radio and taxi advertising marketing campaign. We are bringing price comparison to businesses nationwide and now have more than 20,000 site users a month. We’ve helped 2,000 companies find the best energy tariff, 3,000 business owners find the finance they need and 8,000 firms chose their bank account with us. Our team has grown and we’ve recently formed new partnerships in energy and van insurance and even met with Eddisbury MP Antoinette Sandbach to discuss the important contribution Businesscomparison.com is making to the alternative finance market for SMEs. It’s very common for consumers to compare bank accounts, mortgages, energy and insurance however, it’s not yet a familiar process to many small and medium sized business owners. In fact, a massive 82 per cent of SMEs are unaware of alternative business funding options and 60 per cent of SMEs are currently spending less than an hour researching lending providers. 50% per cent of businesses never change their energy tariff. We want to create a culture of saving money for small to medium sized businesses and being shortlisted for these awards is a fantastic part of our journey towards doing that.“
The winners in each category will be announced at Grosvenor House in Park Lane, London on 23rd June.
