Neve’s Mission to support The Fishermen

Neve Fleetwood will be raising money this July for The Fishermen’s Mission by entering a team into the Blackpool Summer 10K Run.

Taking place on Sunday 10th July 2016, the course starts at Middle Walkway on the Promenade in Blackpool and takes a fast and flat 10K route around the coast of the town.

The Fishermen’s Mission is close to the heart of the Neve Fleetwood team; with the majority having family members both past and present that have worked, or still work in the fishing industry.

The Fishermen’s Mission reaches out to both active and retired fishermen by providing practical, spiritual and financial support – as well as a vital emergency response service. They are the only national charity that works solely to help fishermen and their families - from having a heart to heart over a cup of tea, to responding when a fisherman is lost at sea. They are the vital port of call for fishermen and their families when they most need help, 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

Neve Fleetwood have been providing fresh fish and seafood to the restaurant and catering industry in and around the North West, for over 30 years. Neve Fleetwood goes back three generations to when its founders Chris and Gerrard Neve began going door-to-door, selling fish to local markets and restaurants. The business has changed dramatically since those days, however one thing that remains is the heritage and passion amongst the Neve Fleetwood team who are all local, with their roots firmly based in the fishing industry.
