XBlades new kit supplier for Yorkshire Carnegie

As of next season, Yorkshire Carnegie will be sporting the name of a new kit supplier in the form of fellow Yorkshire business XBlades Sports.

The five-year deal will see the Doncaster based company design, manufacture and supply the Greene King IPA Championship Rugby Union club with all of their home and away kits as well as leisure and training apparel for the forthcoming seasons.

The new look playing and training wear will complement the already significant XBlades presence around Headingley Carnegie Stadium, having previously secured close links with both rugby teams - Carnegie and sister Rugby League club Leeds Rhinos with a boot deal.

Lee Jenkinson XBlades CEO said: “Although XBlades was established over 25 years ago in Australia, we’ve only been trading in the UK since 2012 and since then the brand has flourished with international players wearing our kit, boots and protection.

“Landing the Yorkshire Carnegie contract is an amazing opportunity, we can now add the club to our impressive list of partners, which includes Gloucester Rugby, Leeds Rhinos, Cronulla Sharks, Parramatta Eels and Castleford Tigers.

“It’s a very exciting time for XBlades and we are very much looking forward to working with the fantastic team at Yorkshire Carnegie for the next five years.”

Yorkshire Carnegie Commercial Director, Rob Oates added: “We are delighted to be working with XBlades and we are looking forward to a long and successful partnership together. They have experience of elite level Rugby Union with Gloucester Rugby and we are looking forward to working with Lee and his team to enhance and develop the Yorkshire Carnegie brand over the coming years.”

All new apparel will be available from the club shop both at the stadium and online via www.yorkshirecarnegie.com over the coming months. Keep posted on social media for official launch dates.
