Handbag Clinic to open in Leeds city centre following signficant investment

Handbag Clinic, which cleans and restores handbags from globally recognised designers, is opening in Leeds.

The company initially opened on Chelsea’s Kings Road last year before launching in Islington and Newcastle. Following an increase in demand for its specialist services, Handbag Clinic is now set to open in Leeds’ Queens Arcade on June 17th.

As well as giving designer handbags a substantial revamp, Handbag Clinic also sources and sells vintage and pre-owned bags from brands such as Hermes, Chanel, Celine and Louis Vuitton.

Handbag Clinic’s technicians work on bags worth tens of thousands of pounds, and also restore Christian Louboutin red soles.

The Leeds opening follows a six-figure investment in the city from Handbag Clinic, which has carried out a complete refurbishment at the premises, as well as employ three new members of staff in the store, including manager Vicky Owen.

Ben Staerck, managing director of Handbag Clinic, said: “Leeds is deservedly renowned as a mecca for label lovers, with the city centre now home to the likes of Harvey Nichols, Louis Vuitton and Vivienne Westwood so we’re delighted to have finally found the perfect location to open Handbag Clinic in the city centre.

“We’re experiencing huge demand for services in our existing stores and we’re expecting interest to be high in Leeds too from owners of designer handbags and accessories in need of revival.”

Handbag Clinic, which was established in August 2013, already has stores on Kings Road and Mosley Street, Newcastle.

The company also boasts a number of celebrity clients, including the Made in Chelsea cast, Stephanie Pratt, reality TV star Imogen Thomas, Celebrity Match Maker Lady Nadia Essex and Daily Mail columnist Liz Jones.
