Barratt Homes North East's latest project to support 370 jobs in Yarm
Barratt Homes North East has announced it will create 148 new homes at its new Leven Woods development on Green Lane in Yarm.
Set to launch in July 2016 the plot will consist of of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes and will reportedly support 370 jobs in the Yarm area.
The housebuilder has also indicated that the site is set to bring with it a boost to the local economy of £47m.
The development is predicted to lead to an additional £750,000 local retail spend per year. 30 of the properties will be affordable housing, which will be available to rent via Hellens Residential, or to buy at discount market sale price.
Chris Neal, Sales Manager at Leven Woods, commented: “We’re very excited about our Leven Woods development and the positive impact it will have on the local community. We’re also delighted to be able to offer quality affordable homes on the development, which will be a great benefit to homebuyers and renters in the Yarm community.”
Leven Woods will be a new development in the historic market town of Yarm. The development is perfectly suited for families, with a range of local amenities and independent shops on its doorstep, as well as highly regarded primary and secondary schools.
