Work complete on £18m Grove House development in Trafford

Work on a multi-million pound residential scheme in Trafford, Greater Manchester, is now complete.

The £18m Grove House development comprises a mix of 98 one- and two-bedroom apartments, with each new home featuring a fully fitted kitchen, bathroom and modern furniture.

The residential lettings arm of estate agents Harper Brooks will now let the building, which once housed office space.

Property firm Pinnacle Alliance, which delivered the Grove House transformation, has said that similar conversion projects will become more commonplace following changes to planning regulations in April, which saw office-to-residential permitted development rights become permanent as part of a Town and Country Planning Order.

Richard Caton, the head of marketing at Deansgate-based Pinnacle Alliance, commented: “Manchester is an attractive prospect for property investors at the moment.

“This is driven by an increased need for real estate and demand for high-quality accommodation, along with the fact that Manchester is at the heart of government-led economic investment in the North.”

He continued: “We feel Grove House is a showcase for how lost commercial office space can be repurposed and developed to meet the needs of Manchester’s growing population of young professionals, who have high expectations of their homes.

“Office-to-resi developments can create beautiful apartments.”
