Housebuilder welcomes new resident at Imperial Park, Northwich
Five star housebuilder, Barratt Homes Manchester, has welcomed an unusual new resident at its Imperial Park development in Northwich – a mum-to-be duck, which has nested in the garden of the show home.
The duck – named “Jemima” by Barratt’s sales team - has waddled its way to the development from the nearby canal, and is now sitting on ten eggs, which the housebuilder believes are due to hatch any day now…
In the interests of Jemima’s wellbeing and imminent motherhood – Barratt has kept visitors to the garden to a minimum, and has asked viewers to keep a respectful distance from the nest. Commenting on their feathered guest, Barratt Manchester Sales Director, Michaela Lancaster, said:
“We were absolutely delighted to see that a duck had found its way to Imperial Park, and are very excited to see her ducklings when they hatch.
“We’re not sure why she strayed this far from the canal, but she’s picked a lovely tranquil spot to nest! There’s lots of fabulous open countryside surrounding the development, and it’s a very peaceful location.”
Imperial Park offers a range of three and four bedroom homes, situated on Winnington Avenue in Northwich. Surrounded by stunning countryside, the development is close by to Marbury Country Park, featuring beautiful woodland with walking trails and streams. The local village of Northwich also has an excellent selection of amenities, as well as great schools and excellent access to the M6 and M56 motorways.
Prices from £170,995.
