Q-Park to rejuvenate Queen Square car park with £750k revamp

A six-figure project to refurbish Queen Square car park in Liverpool is due begin in July.

International parking garage operator Q-Park, which acquired the site in December last year from Liverpool developer Promenade Estates, now plans to invest £750k in the creation of a new entrance and other improvement works.

As part of the makeover, Q-Park will redecorate the facility’s lobby areas, install new parking equipment at all the site’s vehicle entrances and establish new pay-on-foot machines.

Adam Bidder, Q-Park’s managing director, said: “We are delighted to start the refurbishment of Q-Park Queen Square after only acquiring the car park earlier this year.

“The car park complements our Liverpool portfolio perfectly as it’s situated in the popular leisure area of Queen Square.”

He added: “We hope that the rejuvenation of the car park is well received by all Q-Parkers.”

The project is due for completion in November this year.

Promenade Estates director Daniel Hynd commented: “We are delighted Q-Park is investing in refurbishing the car park at Queen Square.

“The refurbishment work Q-Park is carrying out will secure the long-term success of the operation and continue to give visitors a convenient place to park when enjoying Liverpool’s many attractions.”

Queen Square car park has space for 601 vehicles across 14 levels.
