Poynton financial services firm invests in office makeover

AMG Financial Solutions Ltd is laying the foundations for future growth after acquiring and overhauling its offices in the centre of Poynton, Cheshire.

The financial services firm transformed its head office on Park Lane to cater for its growing team, having bought the building in 2015.

Discussing the investment, AMG director and founder Andrew Goodwin said: “We have wanted to improve the offices for some time and saw the opportunity to purchase the building a year ago.

“Buying and revamping the building is an investment in our business and in the future of Poynton. The town centre is busy and having set up the business here in 2005 we wanted to stay in Poynton.”

He added: “The offices have been gutted and reconfigured. It is now a much more pleasant work space and a welcoming environment for our customers.”

Work at AMG’s two-level office at 17 Park Lane included lowering the ceilings on the first floor, allowing the building’s attic space to be turned into new offices.

The director of AMG’s sister brand Poynton Financial Services, Ian Hume, said he believes the refurb has delivered some “major environmental gains” for the company.

He commented: “The offices previously had a very low environmental rating and this has been transformed to excellent.

“Staying in Poynton also has environmental bonuses as almost all the staff are local and can walk to work.”

Ian added: “All work has been carried-out by local contractors, many of whom are our customers.”

Together with Poynton Financial Services, AMG employs a team of nine based in Poynton and operates smaller offices in Stafford and Birmingham.
