Together invites school leavers to apprentice open evening
Cheadle-based specialist finance provider Together will be holding an apprentice open evening on Wednesday 22nd June to attract enthusiastic school leavers keen to get their careers started.
The event presents an exciting opportunity for young people in the area to meet current employees from different departments within the business and learn about the many potential careers on offer.
The scheme is open to students post A level or equivalent, and successful candidates will study for a year, with various qualifications on offer including NVQs, City and Guilds, and ACCAs. Apprentices progress to a permanent role with Together on completion, with potential to work in different areas of the business.
Currently, apprentices at Together are working in customer services, finance, commercial lending, business change, and IT, and excellent career prospects are on offer, with many former apprentices now moving up through the organisation.
Kevin Fisher, HR director at Together commented: “Our apprentice scheme provides a fantastic opportunity for school leavers to begin their careers, whilst also gaining valuable qualifications and learning new skills.
“We’re committed to nurturing young talent and hope to meet some great candidates at our open evening that can show they have the passion and drive to succeed in this dynamic business.”
Alex Gill-Biden, an apprentice who works in commercial lending at Together, said: “It’s so varied; I could be doing admin one day and then be down in London for four days at an event talking to customers and acting as a salesperson.
“I’m treated as one of the team here, and my colleagues teach me everything I need to know. They really want me to be the best I can be.”
Benefits at the company include a gym membership, a generous holiday allowance including a day’s leave on your birthday, and an annual bonus scheme.
The open evening will be held on Wednesday 22nd June from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at Together’s offices at Lake View, Lakeside, Cheadle, SK8 3GW. Refreshments will be available and current employees who joined the business as apprentices will be on hand to share their experiences.
