Jennings to launch new Gateshead Harley-Davidson dealership
Jennings Motor Group is expanding with the launch of a new Harley-Davidson dealership in Gateshead, creating 12 new jobs.
Spearheaded by company director, Sohail Khan, this latest development is part of an on-going investment and expansion plan which is seeing the company diversify its offer.
It follows the group’s takeover of the Leeds Harley-Davidson dealership in December last year.
Officially incorporating the globally recognised Harley-Davidson brand into the Group marks a significant development in the company’s 104-year long history in the North East says managing director Nas Khan.
Nas Khan adds: “We are extremely excited about the launch of an additional Gateshead Harley-Davidson dealership, which will complement the group’s existing showroom in West Yorkshire.”
The new dealership, based on Eslington Road in Gateshead, is due to open at the beginning of July.
It will sell both new and quality used Harley-Davidson motorcycles and offer a range of aftersales facilities, including service and Harley-Davidson genuine parts, accessories, MotorClothes® and merchandise.
Sohail Khan, Jennings’ company director, who managed the construction project, said: “It’s been a very busy but exciting few months and we are looking forward to meeting and greeting customers when the official opening takes place next month.”
Jennings Motor Group currently employs 485 staff at its Ford, Ford Direct, Kia, Mazda, SEAT, Mitsubishi and Used Car Outlet located across Tyneside, Wearside, South Tyneside and Teesside.
