Brother and sister duo target Iranian fashion market
A brother and sister team in Greater Manchester are looking to tap into the burgeoning fashion market of Iran and the Middle East with their own online clothing startup.
Sadra and Ari Hosseini launched The Luxe London after identifying a market gap that emerged with the lifting of long-standing trade sanctions against Iran.
The pair believe that the continuing difficulty of setting up a luxury fashion and beauty business in Iran, due to existing regulations, is creating a high demand for The Luxe London’s product range.
CEO Sadra said: “Luxury brands are hugely popular in Iran and elsewhere in the Middle East, but people often struggle to go out and buy them,” explains Sadra, Co-Founder; CEO of The Luxe London.
“The Luxe London is the only e-commerce platform which sells genuine luxury branded products to the Iranian market. We set our sights on Iran to enhance people’s quality of life and become the market leader in this widely educated and untapped market.”
He added: “Rather than people having to wait until they go abroad to purchase the latest products, we want to make it possible to get hold of newly released collections and favourite items whenever they want.
“Orders are shipped directly from the UK to the consumer’s doorstep.”
The Luxe London has the backing of Ignite, the accelerator for early-stage digital businesses.
