Trafford Park industrial unit swept up for £2.54m
Investor and developer Buccleuch Property has given its UK-wide portfolio a boost with the acquisition of a 90,000 sq ft industrial unit in Greater Manchester.
In a joint venture with development firm Mountcity Group, Edinburgh- and London-based Buccleuch bought the Trafford Park unit from Chinese freight business Kerry Logistics in a deal worth £2.54m.
The transaction is one of a trio of recently completed deals that also included a 25,000 sq ft unit at Bellshill Industrial Estate in North Lanarkshire, purchased for £1.5m, and Edinburgh’s 27,000 sq ft Bonnington Bridge Business Centre, bought for £1.4m.
The transaction at Trafford Park is Buccleuch’s second in partnership with Mountcity, following the firms’ joint acquisition of Ibrox Business Park, Glasgow, in 2015.
Buccleuch director Philip Eves said: “These recent purchases represent a series of extremely attractive additions to our industrial portfolio, each offering strong locations with excellent transport links.
“Our latest acquisitions continue to strengthen the company’s property portfolio and we continue to actively seek new investment and development opportunities across the UK.”
