UX pioneer Jeff Sauro delivers London seminar keynote

How to measure the impact UX has on business outcomes was one of the main topics of discussion at UserZoom’s latest UX seminar, which took place in London on 16th June. The event, which attracted UX professionals from across the country, was headlined by leading industry thinker Jeff Sauro who spoke about the importance of creating a plan for measuring and the improving user experience.

During the seminar, which was hosted by UX specialists UserZoom at Millbank Tower, Jeff explored the key measurement steps organisations need to take, including benchmarking and measuring the ROI of UX efforts. As the founding principal of quantitative American UX research firm MeasuringU, Jeff is a regular speaker and an industry expert on the statistical analysis of human behaviour and usability.

Jeff Sauro said: “In a digital world, where competition is rapidly growing, it is more important than ever for UX teams to demonstrate the business value of research and good design. This can be achieved by creating a plan for measuring and improving user experience which matches UX to an organisation’s defined KPIs.”

The event also included a talk by Ryanair’s Rui Pereira on how the airline has implemented task-based, unmoderated testing during design and development projects, including the launch of a brand new website at the end of last year. Rui demonstrated how user research was critical to delivering a better, more consistent experience across Ryanair’s mobile devices and channels.

Arthur Moan, Vice President of Client & Professional Services, EMEA, at UserZoom, commented: “We’re proud to host this valuable forum for discussion on best practice within the UX industry and really happy with the fantastic turn-out in London. Having the opportunity to hear directly from leading industry experts such as Jeff Sauro is invaluable, particularly because measurement is such a key issue at the moment for UX professionals who are under increasing pressure to build a strong business case for their projects and required budgets.”
