Sports Tours International flying high with Virgin Airways

Two of the North West’s most popular 10K running events have welcomed Virgin Atlantic Airways as their Official Airline Partner for 2016.

Virgin Atlantic Airways has partnered with Sports Tours International who organise the UKFast We Love Manchester 10K and UKFast City of Salford 10K events. The leading airline will be actively involved in both events, which attract thousands of runners each year.

James Rowan, Partnership Development Manager for Sport, Virgin Atlantic Airways, commented: “Virgin Atlantic Airways are delighted to be working with Sports Tours International, one of our preferred sports partners on these two magnificent events within the Greater Manchester Area. Manchester continues to play a huge part in our expanding route network. Along with our well established destinations of Orlando, Barbados and Las Vegas, we can now fly passengers direct from Manchester to Atlanta and from next summer we have announced direct services from Manchester to San Francisco and Boston.

“We work very closely with Sports Tours International on their overseas marathon programme and we are very much looking forward to our involvement in both the We Love Manchester 10K race in July and the City of Salford 10K race in September.”

The UKFast We Love Manchester 10K, also known as the City of Manchester 10k, will take place on Sunday 10th July from the Etihad Stadium and The UKFast City of Salford 10K takes place on Sunday 4 September and follows a scenic route around MediaCityUK and Salford Quays.
