Computer recycling firm creates 13 jobs after establishing new Runcorn HQ
A North West firm offering computer recycling services has created more than a dozen jobs after moving into new premises in Cheshire.
Computer Disposals Limited (CDL) moved into a new property on Davy Road in Runcorn with the help of a seven-figure funding package, welcoming 13 new employees to its team in the process.
CDL’s principal director, Jean-Pierre Naylor, said: “Our industry is always changing and we needed to expand as we had outgrown the premises we had been leasing.
“By having our own unit we have the flexibility to grow in the future and develop around the ever-changing technology industry.”
He added: “We can also employ more people in the future and expand as needed.”
Founded over 15 years ago, today CDL operates a satellite base in London and employs a team of 68 at its Runcorn headquarters, where it is able to recycle all IT-related equipment from anywhere on the UK mainland.
To move into its new site, CDL signed a funding deal with Halton Borough Council, NatWest and Lombard, the bank’s asset finance partner.
Jean-Pierre turned to NatWest senior relationship manager Kevin Connors, as well as corporate advisor Vinny Connaughton, the CEO of Connaughton & Co Chartered Accountants.
A seven-figure facility was arranged, with NatWest providing a property loan and working capital facility. Halton Borough Council, meanwhile, provided a grant.
NatWest’s Kevin Connors commented: “I was delighted to support CDL on its purchase of new premises to support the growing business.
“CDL continues to deliver an outstanding service to its customers all over the UK and I wish the business every success for the future.”
