EU Referendum: Yorkshire and the Humber votes to leave
Yorkshire and the Humber voted in favour of leaving the EU in yesterday’s referendum, supporting the national decision.
More than 2.5 million votes were cast in the region, which saw 1,580,937 people voted to leave and 1,158,937 for remain - 58% to 42% outcome.
The final results for the nation as a whole were closer as 17,410,742 (51.9%) voted to leave the EU against 16,141,241 (48.1%) who voted to remain.
