Three is a Magic Number at Europa

Europa Air & Sea, a dedicated division of ambitious logistics operator, Europa Worldwide Group, has made three senior appointments to the team as investment in the division continues to gain pace.

Andy Serpant, newly appointed as National Airfreight Manager, has almost 40 years’ experience, holding management positions at companies including Damco – where he oversaw the increase of its airfreight tonnage from four million kilos to just under 13 million kilos, in four years. Andy will be in charge of leading the airfreight team in growing Europa’s air products even further, as well as streamlining processes to enhance its service for customers.

James Wilkinson also joins the company as Business Development Manager, with a focus on expanding Europa’s Air & Sea customer base and market share in the North of England. Joining the business from Kerry Logistics, James has worked in the industry for almost 15 years and brings with him a wide knowledge and skill base.

Cutting his teeth in the industry with Europa 10 years ago, Kevin Perry has worked his way up through the ranks of the business from office junior to now be promoted to Airfreight Operations Manager. Kevin is in charge of both the import, export and airfreight administration departments to ensure Europa’s customers receive the best level of service from start to finish.

Angus Hind, Director of Europa Air & Sea, said: “This is a hugely exciting time for the division. Our reputation in the market is growing, as is our continued investment in our services, facilities and staff which shows our drive to gain further market share. As a business we trust in the expertise of our staff, so I’m glad to welcome Andrew, James and Kevin on board. Their combined experience and knowledge will strengthen our team and our offering even further.”

The team expansion is just the latest announcement from the fast-growing division. It saw its sea freight volumes grow by 23 per cent year-on year in 2015, has recently relocated its UK Heathrow office to new, larger premises and its Hong Kong team celebrated its first anniversary and a record year in its Metroplaza Towers office in the transport hub of Kwai Chung.

Europa is a member of the FETA Freight Systems International Network (FFSI), a global agent network of companies offering the full spectrum of transport services.

As well as its successful Air & Sea division, Europa Worldwide Group also provides specialist road, warehouse and showfreight services.
