Nearly 25% of of homes have been reserved off plan at Nottingham’s Trent Basin - North Bank of the River Trent.

Eleven properties in Phase One of the Trent Basin development have been reserved – all off plan - with interested buyers from north and south of the river; in particular house buyers from West Bridgford and Mapperley Park being among the first people to reserve.

A cross section of properties, from a two bed apartment to a five bed home, at Trent Basin have been reserved since homes went on sale in early Spring.

Nick Ebbs, chief executive of Blueprint, said: “The choice and location of properties are two key factors in people’s interest at Trent Basin. The speed of reservations highlights the attraction to a wide cross section of buyers. Demand from upsizers, downsizers and first time buyers keen on being closely connected to the city and who want to enjoy the benefits of waterside living shows the wide appeal of Trent Basin homes.

“At least three homebuyers are also taking advantage of the Help to Buy scheme. So, with the help on offer, owning one of these brand-new properties on the waterfront in this property hot spot is a real possibility for first time buyers, young professionals and families.”

Interested home buyers will soon be able to see the new show home at Trent Basin which is due to be unveiled in July. The three bed show home comprises 3 storeys and includes a roof terrace and designer Laura Davies will be putting the finishing touches to the show home interiors ahead of the launch. The interior design will complement the architecture, local environment and design of the show home bringing to life a contemporary feel using sustainable materials such as bamboo flooring.

As with all the properties at Trent Basin, the 45 homes in Phase One are designed with ‘fabric first’ principles to maximise the use of natural light and promote sustainable low energy living. Properties in Phase One comprise:

Eight 2-bedroom apartments – one has been reserved Two 3-bedroom duplex apartments Two 2-bedroom homes – one has been reserved Twelve 3-bedroom homes – five have been reserved Twenty 4-bedroom homes – three have been reserved and, One 5-bedroom home which has been reserved Prices start at £225,000 and reservations can now be made

Blueprint is behind the Trent Basin development, which is part of the 250 acre waterside regeneration area. Their design led approach to the development draws inspiration from other European waterside developments such as those found in Copenhagen. The mix of apartments and houses means home owners will enjoy open spaces and living on the River Trent, as well as being ideally situated close to West Bridgford, Colwick and the city centre.

The aim is to create a new contemporary housing community, whilst still recognising the historical, industrial heritage of the area. The old Trent Lane inland dock was an industrial cargo hub for the city and will be an integral feature of the development.

For those interested in the Help to Buy scheme, it is available to homeowners and first time buyers who wish to reserve a property at Trent Basin. More information can be found at www.helptobuy.gov.uk
