LED Future Looks ‘Bright’ for BLE In Efficiency Move

With the global demand for lighting fixtures totalling £72 Billion, Sheffield based BLE Lighting & Power Ltd is launching it’s very own range of energy efficient LED lighting, in a bid to half the UK’s energy consumption.

According to a recent report from The UK Lighting Sector Strategy, lighting consumes 18 per cent of all UK electricity. By companies using energy efficient lighting and effective lighting controls, energy bills could potentially fall between 60 & 80 per cent.

Since joining BLE Lighting and Power Ltd in March 2015, Managing Director, Richard Woodley has seen a gap in the market for a high end energy efficient LED range, which incorporates branded components, branded drivers, and has been extensively tested by a reputable and experienced lighting supplier such as BLE.

Richard Woodley, said: “BLE Lighting & Power in the past had a range of Induction lighting with a very limited LED offering, lighting technology has changed over the last few years with the continued improvements in LED technology”.

“On many of the Energy Efficient Lighting projects we have already worked on, we have been able to offer an ROI of less than 2 years. I believe that our new range of products will benefit a wider range of companies helping to paint a bright future for BLE.”

The new range will include high bay fittings, flood lights, and batten fittings.

Within two months of his appointment, Richard attended a handful of meetings overseas to extensively research the market, and the new range was 12 months in the development process, before being launched.

The first shipment of products is now in stock and immediately available, with the full range being visible on the BLE Lighting and Power product website.

The new range of products has been specified and approved by BLE Technical Director, Craig Elliott, and has been further tested by reputable third parties like TUV.

Richard added: “We want our customers to be able to purchase with confidence, we provide a 5-year warranty on all products within our energy efficient LED range”. Mr Woodley went on to say: “We are a long standing company with over 40 years experience, our parent company has been established for 127 years, customers will know that in the unlikely event of any problems in the future we will be here to assist.”

The UK has the opportunity to reduce the cost of energy consumption and C02 production, helping to meet the Government’s target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by at least 80 per cent by the end of 2016.
