Pop-up bar serving up Wimbledon-inspired dish to open in Kensington
A new pop-up bar at The Kensington hotel is to celebrate is to serve up a Wimbledon-inspired dish as part of its celebration of all things British.
UK Sparkling wine brand, Nyetimber, is bringing the pop-up concept to the terrace at the exclusive Kensington hotel from 1st to 10th July with claims to celebrate ‘quintessential Britishness in all its forms’.
Developed by The Kensington bar manager Ben Manchester, the focal dish on the menu will be a Wimbledon inspired dish by Executive Chef Steve Gibbs, consisting of a dish of Nyetimber jelly, Kentish strawberries and elderflower cream.
The pop-up bar is part of the hotel’s campaign to promote seasonal and local produce to create British dishes with a twist.
Sitting on the corner of Queen’s Gate and the Old Brompton Road, The Kensington sits in the heart of one of the capital’s most exclusive areas and recently underwent major refurbishment, including the addition of the Town House restaurant, and cocktail bar K Bar.
