London events firm Smart Live establishes Northern division at MediaCityUK
Events business Smart Live has expanded with the launch of a new office at MediaCityUK.
The London-headquartered firm has opened a second base at The Greenhouse to accommodate its newly created Northern division.
Smart Live, a provider of events such as product launches, award ceremonies and company team-building days, is hoping to tap into the North’s growing business offer.
Alex Morrisroe, the company’s head of client services, said: “Over the last three years, Smart Live has seen businesses become less London-centric and as a result, the agency has been delivering events across the UK with a particular focus in the North West.
“MediaCityUK was a clear choice to launch our second office, as it’s a dynamic and collaborative hub for creativity, and perfectly positions us within close proximity to the rich and diverse culture Manchester has to offer.”
Alex added: “I am delighted we now have a foothold in this great city.”
Smart Live is owned by Smart Group Ltd, which comprises several hospitality, catering and event management enterprises and has a turnover of £25m per annum.
The company counts a number of international brands among its clients, including restaurant chain Pizza Express, food products firm Danone, financial services firm Legal & General and automaker BMW.
MediaCityUK asset manager Lynn Haime commented: “It’s great news for us that Smart Live has chosen The Greenhouse as its northern base – it’s a hive of activity with a whole host of prospective clients on its doorstep.
“We look forward to seeing what huge potential the northern expansion delivers for Alex and the team.”
