Refinery Makes Senior Client Services Appointment
Manchester’s Refinery has enhanced its team with the appointment of a new Account Director, Andrew McCleave. Bringing many years international experience from his native city, Dublin, Andrew has worked both agency and client side, with an impressive brand portfolio, including Diageo, Pepsico, Virgin Media and Carphone Warehouse.
Joining the 100-strong team at Refinery, Andrew will be responsible for heading up the account for multi-national paints and chemicals manufacturer, AkzoNobel.
Having worked with brands such as Guinness, Tropicana, Walkers Snacks and Aer Lingus at Ireland’s largest advertising agency, Irish International BBDO, Andrew’s experience spans all aspects of marketing, from TV and radio ads through to digital and social campaigns, live events and promotions.
Andrew’s credentials strongly complement the marketing agency’s track record in brand development for global companies and reputation for outstanding client service - as proven by Refinery’s number one rating by RAR (Recommended Agency Register) in 2015.
Group Account Director at Refinery, Philip Armitage, says, “As our client portfolio continues to expand, we’re recruiting more talent to ensure we have a strong team that can guarantee exceptional client service. By bringing people in that enrich our offering even further, the agency can maintain its long-lasting relationships with brands, as demonstrated with AkzoNobel, Chelsom and the Co-op (over 20 years), and Magnet Trade and Manchester Arndale (over 5 years).”
Commenting on his move, Andrew says: “It’s a key time to be joining the agency with several recent account wins and a huge scope of activity to get involved with across brand development, communication and advertising. Refinery’s commitment to building excellent relationships with clients was a big driver for me, as well as the teams’ drive, and passion for creating excellent work.”
