Submitting a planning application to Sunderland council, the firm wishes to regenerate a currently derelict Washington warehouse following the success of its Stockton centre.
Owned by The Fun Shack Group, a family-run leisure company specialising in indoor activities, the £1.8m plan is believed to not only rejuvenate a 30,000 sq. ft. of unused space but to bring 41 new jobs to the region by the end of the year.
The Fun Shack Group currently employ 110 people across the company, all of whom are based in the North East.
As well as offering over 100 interconnected trampolines split into ‘zones’, foam pits and giant trampoline air bags, the proposed Jump 360 development will also have fitness classes, general bounce sessions and even a session for toddlers available to customers.
Jump 360 will also continue their additional needs sessions as part of its new development, allowing facilities to be used by everyone, regardless of ability.
Stuart Freeman, director of The Fun Shack Group, commented: “We are really excited about the opportunity to develop the Jump 360 brand, particularly within Washington as this is where we have lived for the past 18 years.
“As a family business, we would be so proud to continue to contribute to the regeneration of the area, as well as help the local community in Washington and the surrounding region. If the project is given the go-ahead, this will be the second of seven parks we have planned for the North East over the next two years.”
