Stretford Mall prepares for new 5280 sq ft JD store
Trainer and sports retailer JD is set to open the doors to its new store in Trafford this week.
This Friday (July 8), the firm will officially launch its 5,280 sq ft shop at Stretford Mall.
JD will be the second brand to open in the centre in recent weeks, after Aldi created 30 jobs at the end of June with its new 12,000 sq ft supermarket.
Gareth Wilkins, Stretford Mall’s centre manager, said: “The arrival of JD rounds off a fantastic week for the centre.
“Last Thursday we welcomed a market leader in the grocery sector in Aldi and this week we’re welcoming one of the most recognisable names in fashion and sport on the high-street.”
The new JD will be located in Kingsway Mall, in the heart of the shopping complex.
Speaking further, Gareth said the newest arrival rounds off a great first half of the year for the centre.
He continued: “We’re committed to ensuring that we have the best possible retail options for our shoppers and this year we’ve really been able to expand our retail offering. That can be seen with the additions of Aldi, Costa Coffee and JD to name just three.
“By welcoming JD to the centre, visitors will soon have access to a whole host of exclusive fashion and limited edition designs from brands such as Nike and Adidas Originals.”
Gareth added: “Everyone at Stretford Mall is looking forward to what the rest of 2016 will bring.”
