‘Inspiring female leader’ lands key role with Newcastle tech giant Sage

Newcastle-headquartered Sage, has announced the appointment of leading businesswoman Jacqueline de Rojas to command the business across Northern Europe.

The market leader for integrated accounting, payroll and payment systems,which employs 2000 people, will bring Jacqueline on board in Autumn this year as ‘EVP Northern Europe’.

She will be responsible for growing the business and continuing to drive Sage’s transformation, focusing on continued recurring revenue growth and driving software subscription revenues as customers work more closely with Sage to compete and flex under increasingly competitive conditions.

Profile: Who is Jacqueline de Rojas?

With over 25 years of operational experience in the software business, de Rojas joins from Citrix, where she led the Northern European business as General Manager & Area VP.

Prior to taking up her position with Citrix, she has held executive roles at global enterprise software businesses. In all these roles, she was responsible for customer facing businesses driving revenues, aligning with key partners and growing market share.

de Rojas is a passionate advocate for more opportunities for women and diversity in the boardroom and is the board champion for women on the board of techUK. She has been President of techUK since July 16th 2015.

Holding a number of board and advisory positions, she also serves as a non-executive director on the board at Home Retail Group PLC. She was been named as the most influential woman in IT in the UK 2015, and in Debrett’s 500 People of Influence in social and digital this year.
