Revealed: £1m investment set to revamp Slaley Hall

QHotels has invested over £1m in Northumberland-based hotel Slaley Hall, in a bid to establish the resort as one of the region’s finest.

A popular wedding venue and North East leisure destination, funds will be used to reinvigorate the site’s suites, air conditioning and heating. Money will also go towards improving access to the Edwardian mansion, which is set in over 1,000 acres of rolling countryside.

In addition to the investment in hotel facilities, QHotels has also significantly boosted Slaley Hall’s management team with the appointment of Christopher Wayne-Wills as General Manager.

With over 21 years’ experience in the hospitality industry Chris joined Slaley Hall from MacDonald Hotels where he was Chief Executive Officer at the Aviemore Resort in Scotland.

He is being tasked with bringing to life QHotels ‘Inspired by you’ customer-focused approach that places service at the heart of the guest experience.
