VW Festival announces line up!

Organisers of one of the biggest annual events in Yorkshire say they’re already on track to beat last year’s 20,000 visitors as fans from across the UK and Europe buy up tickets and newly launched merchandise for this year’s 12th VW Festival.

The popular annual event attracts a very diverse crowd, from classic car fanatics to music lovers to families who come every year to take in the sights and sounds of what’s now regarded as the go to August event, held within the grounds of Harewood House just outside Leeds.

With something for everyone, this year’s wow factor comes in the form of a giant BMX display and visitor training sessions. Come along and have a go. Its hugely popular vehicle displays, trade and market stands, live music, live entertainment, food stalls are even bigger in numbers this year, in response to visitor demand.

The 2016 entertainment zone has an additional animal petting area as furry fans are always drawn to its ever popular dog displays, and for those wanting to get creative there’s live graffiti, vehicle display and chainsaw carving demos.

With this year’s theme of ‘The Circus’, visitors are in for a treat with news that there’s a fantastic large circus play area for everyone to enjoy.

VW Festival’s annual charity raffle this year has a top prize of a 1967 Beetle, fully restored by Herbie Hospital. By buying a raffle ticket you will be supporting this year’s fantastic charity, Cash4Kids. The build up to which lucky person will drive off in the Beetle is certainly the main pull out of the entire weekend and is a great finale for all who take part.

When you visit VW Festival, you also get access to all of the facilities and entertainment that Harewood House has to offer, such as shops, the food courtyard, bird garden and the adventure playground. VW Festival at Harewood House is not just for VW enthusiasts, but the whole family..and the dog.

Come along and be blown away by a very shiny, brightly coloured all singing, all dancing weekend that is VW Weekend!
