Sheffield United links up with Malta for 2016/17 season
Sheffield United has announced the signing of Visit Malta as the newest sponsor for the football club.
The Visit Malta logo will be emblazoned on the Blades training kit and match day warm up strip for the 2016/17 season.
Visit Malta was the club’s shirt sponsor in 2008.
It follows the announcement of a new commercial partnership between Sheffield United and BCEGI Construction (UK) Ltd last week.
Paul Reeves, Sheffield United’s head of commercial, said: “The friendship between United and Malta is a very special one.
“Sheffield United have had a great relationship with Malta over the years, using it for warm weather training as well as taking in friendly games.
“Many of our fans in the past have joined us there and they too struck up a bond with both the Visit Malta brand and also the people.”
Peter Vella Director UK and Ireland for Visit Malta, added: “Once again we are delighted to be associated with Sheffield United.
“We have a long history of supporting the club and wish the team and fans every success in this coming season.”
