Pharmaceuticals and exports drive turnover hike at Newcastle PR firm ramarketing
Newcastle-based digital and PR agency ramarketing is reaping the rewards of a successful export growth strategy which has seen the firm enjoy a record year.
Winning work in Denmark, Spain, Ireland, Sweden, Slovakia and the US, the firm has reported a 60% increase in turnover for the year resulting in the company doubling its headcount.
Somewhat of a rarity for PR agencies in the region, ramarketing has found its niche in the pharmaceutical sector, an area the business has continued to explore since its inception in 2009.
Working with international firms such as Sweden’s Recipharm, Slovakia’s Saneca and U.S. owned Juniper Pharma Services, the North East agency also counts Northumberland-based The Specials Lab as one of its clients - something the firm takes great pride in.
Justine Joisce, head of client services at ramarketing, said: “This is a very exciting time for the team at ramarketing as we continue to put the North East on the map for creative services.
“We have a very strong reputation locally, demonstrated by the calibre of clients we work with in the region. Using this as a foundation, we have worked hard at growing our reputation beyond the North East, driven by our track record for delivering successful multi-platform marketing campaigns in the pharmaceutical sector.”
In addition to securing new clients across Europe and the US, the agency has worked with a range of national organisations including housing, transportation, leisure and retail, using its creative expertise and its own experience to help them develop their global growth strategies.
Justine added: “Although our international growth is very encouraging and exciting, we remain committed to our North East roots. By continuing to recruit graduates from local universities and attract senior talent to the region, we are helping local businesses to raise their profile, generate leads and bring employment to the region.”
