VASCO Redefines e-Signatures EU Trust Service Providers

VASCO Redefines e-Signatures with Instant Interoperability with all EU Trust Service Providers

The global leader in authentication, electronic signatures, and identity management - VASCO Data Security - has announced that its eIDAS-compliant electronic signature solution, eSignLive™, can provide European organisations with the choice of any Trust Service Provider (TSP). The company states that eSignLive delivers both Advanced and Qualified E-Signatures with multi-factor authentication capabilities on a single platform ensuring that organisations can achieve rapid implementation.

The new eIDAS regulation which came into effect across the EU on 1 July, standardises the way e-signatures work. However, the company points out that not all e-signature platforms are open and some do not offer immediate interoperability with qualified certificates issued by any TSP. Without immediate interoperability, organisations may be dependent on the vendor to develop an integration with the TSP or they may not be able to use the TSP of their choosing.

“eSignLive is the only leading solution designed to use the full spectrum of digital signature and authentication technologies necessary for the European market,” said eSignLive President, Tommy Petrogiannis. “Our open platform ensures immediate interoperability with X.509 certificates issued by any TSP – a must-have requirement for European organisations that want to implement e-signatures today.”

eSignLive provides organisations multiple options for implementation with public cloud instances on IBM SoftLayer in the United Kingdom and Germany, as well as private cloud and on-premises options to satisfy local data residency requirements. With eight offices and over 300 employees in Europe, VASCO has the infrastructure necessary to deliver and support trusted security solutions with identification, authentication and e-signing as part of its suite to ensure a secure experience across all digital and mobile channels.

“Security and trust are at the heart of VASCO’s business and European organisations have already embraced our strong authentication solutions to secure access and verify all types of transactions,” added Jan Valcke, President and COO of VASCO Data Security. “eSignLive expands on this foundation by allowing organisations to securely sign contracts, agreements and on-boarding documents, while staying compliant with the new regulation.”
