Betfair announce major three-year sponsorship deal with Barcelona
UK bookmaker Betfair have announced a new three-year global sponsorship deal with Spanish football club Barcelona.
The deal will see the online bookie, who are headquartered in London, benefit from increased branding at the Nou Camp on the stadium’s LED boards as well as having access to the La Liga club’s players, such as Leo Messi and Luis Suarez, for its marketing campaigns.
Commenting on the new deal, Paul Gambrill, who is marketing and brand director at Betfair said: “Barcelona are consistently competitive at the top level and will help us achieve our ambition of growing the Betfair brand internationally.
“We very much look forward to working with the club to offer the incredible fans unique promotions, content and experiences.”
Manel Arroyo, Barcelona’s vice-president of marketing and communication added: “Barcelona is delighted to sign a long-term collaboration agreement with Betfair, a prominent leading company in the field of sports betting.
“We hope our members and all football lovers will enjoy this new global partnership, as well as exclusive promotions and unique sporting experiences.”
Barcelona are one of the world’s most recognisable football clubs and fended off bitter rivals Real Madrid to win the Spanish title last year.
