Carter Towler completes 30 month Middlesbrough industrial park project
The Property Management team at Leeds-based chartered surveyors Carter Towler has completed a 30 month project revamping and letting a 9 unit industrial park in Middlesbrough.
Since being appointed in 2013 by client Bawnmeadows Properties, firm has systematically upgraded the entire 15,492 sq ft freehold Murdock Road site at Skippers Lane Industrial Estate, Middlesbrough.
The exterior of the estate has been fully refurbished and additional improvements, such as security fencing and gates, and monthly maintenance services are also being provided.
Steve Spittlehouse, associate surveyor, said: “The industrial park was purchased by our client at auction and was in a rather sorry state. Now it has been transformed and is attracting a lot of interest from local businesses looking for smart and flexible premises.
“It’s really satisfying to see the estate fully let with some great new businesses like the Diamond Dogs Hydrotherapy Fitness Centre, Evans Performance Ltd and North East Trading. It’s bustling with activity and we’ve had lots of very positive feedback.
“There’s a shortage of good quality small to medium-sized commercial property not just in the North East but across many parts of the country.
“We’re seeing businesses searching for suitable properties like this in Yorkshire and the North East. With a bit of investment and careful management a lot of older rundown trade parks and estates could be made viable again.”
