SMBA Summer Networking Event a Great Success
Nearly 50 local businesses attended the South Manchester Business Association’s (SMBA) summer open evening at the Mercure hotel, Bowdon.
Speakers at the networking evening included talks from Coronation Street’s Sally Dynevor, and former journalist and comedian turned Public Relations practitioner John Warburton.
The SMBA usually meet every Wednesday morning for breakfast at the hotel, but twice a year host evening networking events.
Group chairman Liz Law, said: “The night was a great success. We had 46 local businesses attend on the evening and we enjoyed great presentations from Sally and John.
“They really resonated with the audience and the feedback has been excellent. It seems everyone who came took something positive away from the evening.
“The SMBA is the region’s longest-running independent business networking group and our evening events are a way for those businesses who can’t make our Wednesday morning meetings to network with our members and associates.”
The SMBA meets every Wednesday morning for breakfast from 6:45am at the Mercure Hotel, Bowdon.
