Harris CM Starts Work On £3.6M Contract
Yorkshire-based construction company Harris CM has started work on a £3.6 million contract for Gregory Property Group that will see the company construct a mixed use scheme on Regent Street, just outside Leeds city centre.
As part of the contract, Harris CM is building an 18,500 sq ft building for Pure Gym as well as two retail units that will cover 16,500 sq ft and 7,500 sq ft which will be occupied by Aldi and Poundworld respectively. The 2.5 acre site was previously home to Reg Vardy’s Renault dealership.
This latest contract win comes on the back of a string of major successes for Harris CM, during the first half of 2016. Danny Mulqueen of Harris CM says: “We are delighted to secure our first project with Gregory Property Group, which has an outstanding track record in delivering sustainable property developments across the North of England.
“Our commitment towards providing best value solutions for a diverse range of clients continues to pay dividends and we are particularly pleased to reinforce our presence in our West Yorkshire heartland on this scheme. We are looking forward to working in collaboration with architecture practice, The Harris Partnership and engineering consultants JPG, which are both extremely well-respected in the region.”
Harris Construction employs more than 50 people, and predominantly operates in the private sector delivering industrial, commercial, residential and retail schemes. The company has delivered consecutive year on year profitable growth since its formation seven years ago and will post turnover in excess of £50 million in 2016.
