Restaurant group toasts Customer Service Award success

A privately-owned restaurant group based in Manchester is celebrating after the world’s largest travel site has named all seven of its qualifying restaurants as ‘top performing’ in its 2016 awards.

The team at the Pesto Italian Restaurant group, which has a restaurant in the Trafford Centre as well as pub restaurants in Widnes, Bromborough, Appley Bridge and Tarporley, have found out that each restaurant that could qualify for the honour have all been awarded the 2016 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.

The accolade, which celebrates true excellence in hospitality and is only achieved by roughly the top performing 10% of businesses listed globally on TripAdvisor, is only given to select establishments that achieve exceptional traveller reviews on the travel site by sustaining an overall rating of four out of five or higher for the past twelve months.

Co-owner of Pesto Restaurants Sara Edwards comments: “For all of our eligible restaurants to win this highly esteemed award is a huge accomplishment by all of our team members.

“For most of the restaurants this is the second or third consecutive year that they have won this honour as well, most achieving it every year since they could first qualify for it, which makes it even more of an extraordinary feat.”

The only Pesto restaurant that was not able to enter the awards process was Pesto at the White Horse in Desford which, as it only opened ten months ago, didn’t meet the minimum one year trading entry requirement. Sara adds:

“We’re already getting very positive reviews from our customers, and on TripAdvisor, for Pesto at the White Horse so are hoping we can add to our awards collection and keep our 100% record next year!”

TripAdvisor launched the Certificate of Excellence six years ago to celebrate hospitality businesses that have earned great traveller reviews on TripAdvisor over the past year. Winners include accommodations, eateries and attractions located all over the world that have continually delivered a top quality level of customer experience.

Heather Leisman, Vice President of Industry Marketing, TripAdvisor comments: “With the Certificate of Excellence, TripAdvisor honours hospitality businesses that have consistently received strong praise and ratings from travellers.

“This recognition helps travellers identify and book properties that regularly deliver great service. TripAdvisor is proud to play this integral role in helping travellers feel more confident in their booking decisions.”
