This week’s Yorkshire appointments
Lianne Biddulph, Azzure IT
Sheffield’s Azzure IT has appointed Lianne Biddulph as project manager as it targets further growth over the summer after it was named the UK’s 11th fastest growing IT firm.
Lianne, who is from Warwickshire, has over six years’ experience in software implementation and project management.
Following her appointment, she said: “I’m really looking forward to joining Azzure IT and the new challenges that lie ahead. It’s a superb opportunity to increase my industry and product knowledge in a well-respected and fast growing company.
“My passion for project management is driven by the fact that every day is totally different, and I’m sure that will that continue to be the case at Azzure IT.”

Cameron Sanderson, Keyland Developments
Property firm Keyland Developments has a new Graduate Development Surveyor after hiring Northumbria University graduate Cameron Sanderson.
Cameron, who will be working across Keyland’s portfolio, has held internships in the London offices of both Knight Frank and JLL, and was also Undergraduate Commercial Surveyor at Rock Regeneration Ltd.

Roger Marsh, Institute of Directors
The chair of the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP), Roger Marsh, has been elected to the national council of the Institute of Directors (IoD) where he will serve a three year term.
The IoD Council is responsible for ensuring that the organisation delivers the objectives of its Royal Charter, manage key appointments and holds the board to account.
Roger brings over 30 years’ experience in business recovery, turnaround and insolvency to the role, and has also led the LEP through a significant period of transformation where he has helped attract over £1bn investment to the region.
Lady Barbara Judge CBE, chairman of the IoD, said: “The IoD intends to be an exemplar of good corporate governance and, to achieve this, we call upon the experience and expertise of business leaders from across the country.
“Roger’s extensive knowledge of the Yorkshire business community will ensure that this important region has a respected voice on our council.”
Jenny Purple, Barratt Developments
At Barratt Developments Yorkshire West, Jenny Purple joins as the first of two new Land Managers, bringing her previous experience as a residential Chartered Surveyor with Cushman & Wakefield to the role.
Specialising in Land Disposals, Valuation and Viability Appraisals, Jenny has worked on a number of big residential sites in Yorkshire including Bodington Manor in Adel, Princes Park in Pontefract, Waverley in Rotherham and Yew Tree Lane in Harrogate.
Gareth Lloyd, Barratt Developments
The second Land Manager appointment at Barratt Developments this week is Gareth Lloyd, who joins from Persimmon Homes where he has worked for the last five years after joining their graduate programme.
Bringing his local knowledge of housing, planning and political issues in the region, Gareth will also draw on his experience as a town planner, having secured planning permission for a wide variety of developments in his previous role.
Reflecting on both appointments, David Coe, Land Director at Barratt Developments, said: “We’re thrilled to be expanding our team within the land division.
“We’ve had a very successful financial year in terms of new land purchased and exchanged, and the fact we’re able to attract talented new team members like Gareth and Jenny is testament to the progression we’ve seen.
“We have big plans for expansion particularly in Sheffield and South Yorkshire over the coming year and both of the new team members bring a specialised skill set to our business and we’re already seeing the benefits of having Gareth and Jenny on board.”
Alun Davies, Search Laboratory
Leeds-based digital firm Search Laboratory have announced the appointment of Alun Davies as its new Global Director of Marketing, having previously assisted the business on a consultancy basis.
Alun, who joins from Service Reality, will work together with Chief Executive Officer Ian Harris to grow the marker’s client base, which already includes Office Depot and Karen Millen, with a focus on strategy, sales and marketing.
Alun commented: “From speaking to their clients and working with the team it was clear they have something special and different to offer the market. Clients love the data-driven approach and I can’t wait to start helping to encapsulate that approach into a global marketing strategy.”
Ian Harris, added: “I’m delighted to welcome Alun into the fold so that he can share his extensive sales and marketing expertise with the team here at Search Laboratory. We can’t wait to build upon our successes and work with Alun to maximise every opportunity to grow the business.”
Anjana Athanikar, AMT Group
AMT Group, the Yorkshire-based vehicle solutions group, has appointed Anjana Athanikar as social media executive in the fourth appointment for its marketing team in the last ten months.
Anjana will be tasked with devising a social media strategy for the entire AMT Group, including its vehicle rental, contract hire and leasing and specialist car sales divisions, working alongside marketing designer Emma Garlick and search engine optimisation executive Mike Osolinski.
Heather Thompson, Marketing Manager at AMT, commented: “We’ve already made huge progress in building awareness of AMT as a provider of complete rental, contract hire and vehicle sales solutions to personal and corporate clients as we continue to open new locations throughout the UK.
“Anjana is a welcome addition to the team; her skills will help us to engage with customers and establish strong, long term relationships as the company continues to expand.”

Simon Roberts, Hentons
Simon Roberts has been promoted to the position of Tax Director at accountancy firm Hentons following eight years of service at the organisation.
Simon, who is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, will work with a team of ten specialists in areas relating to tax.
His appointment comes at a time of expansion at the accountancy firm, which has announced plans to expand its Sheffield office and wealth management teams.
Tax Partner of Hentons, Simon Gray, commented: “Simon brings a passion for his craft that motivates his team and supports strong relationships with clients. His promotion strengthens our tax advisory team at a time when entrepreneurs need experienced counsel.
