New Archiving Facility Opens in Sheffield
Russell Richardson’s new Sheffield archiving facility is now up and running. Fitted with a high level security system, new racking and internet connection for the document scanning system, the premises are now filling up with customers’ archive boxes. The new premises, in the Waleswood area of the city will be purely dedicated to archiving and storage with the shredding and recycling side of the business remaining at Russell Richardson’s Clay Street site in Attercliffe.
Russell Richardson now have the capacity to store approx. 30,000 archive boxes, all of which will be recorded, logged and tracked through a sophisticated document barcoding and management system. For no additional cost to the storage, customers will be able to use the system to view the exact location of records at any given time, request retrievals and keep abreast of destruction dates via a secure, bespoke customer portal.
Jonathan Richardson, Managing director at Russell Richardson commented: “We’ve invested heavily in the archiving side of the business and the new premises to ensure that we can deliver the best service and can be confident in the security of customers’ records. People often think that outsourcing records management is expensive and means they have to hand over control, but with the system we have in place and the secure portal, this is no longer the case.”
No-obligation demonstrations of the barcode system and online customer portal can be arranged upon request.
