Exponential-e expands Manchester office

British cloud and networking provider, Exponential-e, has opened a new office at the prestigious Spinningfields development, at the heart of Manchester’s bustling business district, having outgrown its former premises on King Street. The office upgrade is accompanied by the launch of its academy in the North, a scheme that offers talented, aspirational candidates an opportunity to develop their careers within the IT services business.

“Since opening our Manchester operations less than two years ago, we have significantly grown our workforce from five original staff members to over 30 employees, in order to better accommodate the rapid growth in business demand for secure cloud and networked IT services across the region,” said James Kenn, regional business manager, Exponential-e. “We’re experiencing an incredible demand for our secure cloud services, and are on track for a 100 per cent increase in new business this year. Regionally, we’ve seen a number of verticals adopt our cloud and networked IT services, including the legal, manufacturing and public sectors and this office upgrade will enable us to continue to meet this demand for growth.”

The office move to a more central business location will enable Exponential-e to better serve its Manchester customers, some of which are also based at Spinningfields, such as international law firm Nabarro. “Recent research has shown that by focusing on key sectors including digital innovation, the North can reach the target of £97 billion and 850,000 jobs by 2050,” said Lee Wade, CEO, Exponential-e. “But in order to bridge the economic gap with the South and truly become a Northern powerhouse, the region will require advanced IT infrastructure and services and the right digital skills to support the rapid growth of these businesses. Our academy programme has seen great success in London, and we want to replicate this achievement in the North. With Spinningfields gaining a reputation as one of the most prestigious and sought after business locations in the UK today, we hope to attract and nurture the best talent with our new site in Manchester.”

The announcement follows the recent appointment of James Kenn as regional business manager who is driving Exponential-e’s Northern expansion, as well as its announcement of revenues of £77.3 million for the year ending 31st January 2016 – a 27.62 per cent increase in total revenue year on year – following the huge increase in demand for its unique cloud-network services platform.
