US artisan pizza chain MOD Pizza coming to central London this Autumn

Property agents Shelley Sandzer have announced that MOD Pizza is to open a new outlet at 17-18 Irving Square in a key plank of its UK expansion.

Following its debut in Leeds earlier in the year, its first London restaurant will be at a 6,200 sq ft in central London near to Leicester Square and is due to open this November.

The US brand, which was founded in Seattle in 2008, provides a ‘fast, casual’ artisan pizza dining experience, and is now looking to expand right across the country with new outlets planned in Brighton, Nottingham and Newcastle.

Commenting on the deal, Nick Weir, Joint Managing Partner at Shelley Sandzer, said: “We are very happy to have acted as advisors on this deal and help deliver on the brief given to us by MOD Pizza.

“Taking into account the momentum behind the brand, we are confident the prime position of this site will be perfect for them.”

In this particular deal, Shelley Sandzer acted on behalf of MOD Pizza and TK Retail Property Consultants represented the assignor on the lease, Café Concerto.
