Barratt Homes North East announces record year

Local house builder, Barratt Homes North East, has announced a record year of sales success in the region for the year 2015/16. This means the company’s sales in the North East have increased by 74% over the past five years.

One development that has seen particular success is Barratt Homes North East’s The Gateway development on Derwentwater Road, Gateshead, with 62 of its homes having been sold over the course of the last year.

Fenton Hewitt, Sales Director for Barratt Homes North East, commented:

“These figures highlight the ongoing demand for high quality housing in the region and we’re absolutely delighted to announce that this has been our most successful year to date. The success at The Gateway has been particularly overwhelming, with two thirds of the released properties purchased in the last year.”

Remaining homes on the development include the Bampton, a three-bedroom mid-terrace property starting from £142,995, as well as the Aylsham, an attractive one-bedroom apartment that is perfectly suited to first-time buyers, priced from £124,995.

The Gateway is situated in Teams, Gateshead, offering a convenient base close to Newcastle’s business hubs and vibrant attractions, whilst also being situated close to the Team Valley Trading Estate.
